Mariposa Dyes Get to Know Our History

In 1938, a young German entrepreneur, Hans Georg Burk Ballier, migrated from Germany to Mexico in search of a country of opportunities, a country where he could find opportunities to apply the knowledge he had acquired during his adolescence. Germany at that time was the cradle and center of the world of color, where all the innovations in the dye and pigment industry were being developed. His father had emigrated to Mexico a few years earlier and had already laid the groundwork for manufacturing clothing dye, registering the trademark  ECODYE Mariposa  in 1932.

Upon arriving in Mexico and establishing contact with his father, he became convinced that he would have to do the work alone and decided to buy the rights to it from his father.

From that moment on, he began to manufacture  Mariposa Colorant in a small workshop. He produced it at night and went out to sell it during the day. Over time and with the progressive positioning of the product, he was able to start growing and have employees.  Mariposa Colorant  began to be recognized as a reliable and necessary product in Mexican homes.
